Prof. Dr. Claudia Barth holds a professorship for the neurobiology of hormonal transitions at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences (CCM) & Research Unit Gender in Medicine Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, and leads the FemHealth Project as senior researcher at Diakonhjemmet Hospital, Oslo, Norway, funded by the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. She is a biologist and neuroscientist by training with a strong background in neuroendocrinology. Her work integrates preclinical and clinical perspectives as well as computational approaches to study hormonal transition periods and their impact on brain health and psychiatric disorders. She further holds an ERC Starting Grant, is Co-PI in two Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Action Doctoral Networks, a Convergence Environment Grant (ContraMent), and a Wellcome Leap Care Grant, and serves as Chair of the ENIGMA Neuroendocrinology Working Group – Menopause Subgroup, Co-Chair of the ENIGMA Early Onset Psychosis Working Group, and Working Group Leader of the EU-SABV COST Action, to foster global research collaborations on these topics.
