David Matthew Doyle is Assistant Professor in Medical Psychology at Amsterdam UMC and Amsterdam Public Health. Research in Dr. Doyle’s group focuses on social health among members of marginalized groups, with three interconnected lines: loneliness (inequalities), social stigma, and hormonal transitions, e.g., gender-affirming hormone therapy, puberty, (peri)menopause. Dr. Doyle is also Principal Investigator of the AFFIRM Relationships project, supported by a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (2023-2028), which is examining biopsychosocial influences of gender-affirming hormone therapy on psychosocial functioning and social health among transgender people.
