Deekshitha Ganesan is the Manager of Policy and Advocacy at TGEU and coordinates the work on access to trans-specific healthcare. She is a lawyer by training and has worked closely with trans communities in South Asia and Europe to advance their rights, including the right to the best attainable standard of health. Her work adopts a human rights based approach to health, and in her work, Deekshitha coordinates closely with human rights bodies, EU and Council of Europe mechanisms, and medical professionals to improve the provision of care to trans people in the region. She also developed TGEU's Trans Health Map 2024, which tracks the availability and accessibility of trans-specific healthcare in EU Member States.
